Oddnik was founded by my brother Dave and I. We’ve been creating comics it seems like forever, and have been self-publishing for quite a few years with varying degrees of success. With all of our experiences in mind we have decided that the traditional channels of getting our stories out just don’t work for no-names like us — and even some larger names out there, from what we’ve heard. The odds of turning a profit, or even just breaking even, in the ever-shrinking direct market with the usual distribution channels (or maybe I should say channel) are just so stacked against us, that it forced us to look elsewhere. It’s nothing against Diamond, they’re a business that has to look out for their own margins, just like everyone else. So to that end, we’ve recently discovered and embraced the world of web comics.

Our goal is to create the best stories we can, stories that we would like to read, without charging you, the reader a dime. Although, if you dig what we’re doing and want to offer your support, you can always buy some stuff from our store or even just tell 20 of your closest friends about us. We’d really appreciate it.
